1977 Kawasaki Z1000 crankcase bolt lengths

#1 PostAuthor: Paul Whitehouse » Wed Nov 16, 2011 11:18 am

Hi, rebuilding a `77 Z1000 engine from a basket of bits. Going to be assembling the top and bottom engine casings shortly but am missing the 8 x M8 bolts and also the 17 x M6 bolts that secure the two casings together. Would anybody happen to know the lengths of these bolts so that I can replace with new. Thx.

Paul

The two outside ones on the generator side are M8 x 95mm

The two outside ones on the ignition side are M8 x 81mm

The four central ones are M8 x 72mm

The M6 bolts are 12 x 41mm, 3 x 54mm, 4 x 94mm, 1 x 116mm & 1 x 72mm

I think that covers it. Thats what the parts book says anyhow. You might find it easier if you get yourself one of the parts books from Z Power, they great for reference.
