Need a Ultra Sonic Cleaner, for those bike bits?/restro.. Make one... cheap.!!!
But i would put a sander on both sides, and see what the clean is like. Not tried it ( so don't shoot the messinger) but i will. If you try it , post it on here, to save us making one if it's no good.

This one looks a bit better,will a go and see if it works!!

have used the tank cleaning method and it does work but would say proscale is more effective!!!!
