Dodgy solonoid?

#1 PostAuthor: lomi » Wed Aug 03, 2011 8:42 pm

Just tried to spin the z1000 up after putting it back together, it has a brand new battery which is fully charged, however when i press the button the solonoid just clicks and all the waening lights go out on the dash. Could it be the solonoid which is knackered or possibly something else? its really pissing me off now can't really afford to get a new solonoid on the off chance that its that which is shagged. Any help much appreciated

cheers

Defo sounds like a short or bad earth.

Short out the 2 x large terminals on the solenoid - use a 6" nail or screwdriver - if starter turns its a dodgy solenoid and/or connections.
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!
