Running rich?

#1 PostAuthor: kwaka » Mon Jun 27, 2011 1:12 am

My zed is running a set of standard exhausts but with no mufflers, it also has the 1000 cc kit, after having the plug fouling issue recently, how would these two factors affect the the fuel mixtures assuming everything else is the same?

No mufflers would normally lead to a lean/weak mixture.
I presume u have a 900 with 1015 barrels this would also make it run weak

I think i"ve stumbled on the cause of my plugs fouling It seems that if i don't ride long enough on warm up with the choke on, the bike splutters badly leading to foul up. I've always assummed that the choke should come off quickly because of the rich fuel produced, has anyone else experienced the same thing?
