#1 PostAuthor: kwaka » Wed Jun 22, 2011 10:54 am

I took Pauls advice and tried to swap leads 1&4 because 4 wasn,t firing, but the leads are too short. So after replacing them, i started the bike and both 2&3 arn't firing, Does anyone have any idea? :??

i has similar problems with my 11R yesterday, one minute it had no spark at all, then it'd fire on 1/4, then on all 4, then only on 2/3......

it was the connector plug from the ign pick ups, it all looked ok but once i pulled it apart i could see it was full of horrid green corrosion !!!!

double check all connectors 1st, it could be something nice and simple :)

Swap the coils over and see what happens, did you fit new ht leads or use the originals?

G'day fellas, now i'm not even able to get the bike to fire up at all. The connectors seem ok. I've checked the primary windings and geat a reading of 4 ohm, but the secondary windings give me no reading at all, are my coils cactus?

If 1 & 4 weren't working - then you swapped the leads with 2 & 3, and they stopped working - its gotta be coils (or slim chance of 2 x duff leads/caps) :!:
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Managed to get it going, sprayed every connector i could find and threw in another set of plugs :D . Someone mentioned putting HT leads on, is it possible to replace the leads only?
