rear caliper
took the bike for mot this morn, as its sorn this was my 1st real ride so was looking forward to it, took it along a quiet stretch of road to test the brakes, all ok so headed for the mot. when i got there the bike was reluctant to move into the garage, turns out the rear brake had stuck on so opened the bleed nipple a touch to release a bit of pressure and headed home..gutted. removed the pads but cannot budge the piston back into the caliper. depress the brake lever and the piston inches out. is a rebuild easy or can recon calipers be bought?

LOL - I had this, actually it wasn't LOL.
check that the disc run out is within spec. they have tendancy to warp - mind did, also didn't help by have big boots for big feet and I reckon I must have rested my foot on the brake that of course made the situation worse.
and check the caliper is central about the disc - mine wasn't so one piston was more or less fully in so have nowhere to retract, fitting new pads didn't help the situation. (I did shim it out with a 1 mm aluminium disc that sorted it but managed to get a rear disc on ebay which is the proper way to fix it.
