Allen Key Sizes

#1 PostAuthor: Bill Newman » Sat Dec 26, 2009 5:27 pm

Do allen keys come in 1/2 sizes?

I want to take a fork brace off a Z1100R - a 6 is too big and a 5 is too small.

Not had this problem before.

Any thoughts/ know how gratefully recieved

Bill

Could be imperial but there are a few .5 mwtric sizes.
If you have access to a set of vernier calipers measure the distance across the flats with the internal portion to get the size.
You know you're getting old when you stop laughing at nasal hair trimmer adverts and start thinking, hmmmm.... you know, that looks useful!

5.5mm is a fairly common size in sets.
