I have a standard set of front forks and want to run an 18inch front wheel. I am going to use the standard z900 hub with stainless spokes and excel alloy rim. Does anyone know the largest width I can go to using the standard forks. The rear will be an 18 inch with 180 tyre so want the front beefed up as much as possible.
Cheers padders

Brucie,I'd say a 2.5" rim would be good with a 110/80 tyre.
The slabside GSXR1100 had a 2.75 front rim with I think a 120/70 x 18" tyre
I'd check what 18" front tyres are avilable
,
I'm pretty sure that the AVON AM22 race compound/track formula front tyre is still made
Bridgestone do a BT45 in 110/80 x 18".
