Lectron Carbs anyone had any experience using these?

#1 PostAuthor: fuknuckle » Thu Nov 05, 2009 8:39 am

I have just picked up a set of 40mm lectrons to use on my Z1000 race bike, I would just like to know if anyone has any experience using them? and if they are smooth enough to use on a race track, what the midrange is like etc, I know they are good on a drag strip, how do they perform under normal riding conditions? many thanks

Hmmm... Maybe better off just sticking 4 fuel hoses straight from the fuel tank into each inlet tract

Lectrons are only good for one thing ---- WOT

Wouldn't think they'd be that great for circuit racing :?:

Looks like im going to just have to give it a go, there site seems to say they work well under all throttle openings, we shall see, at least being a race bike they will only be used towards the top of the rev range anyway, who needs low speed fueling to be good

hi there ,
i dont think you are going to find them of any use for track racing ,due to the fact that when you shut off for corners the vacumm build up will stop you from reopening the throttle again till the vacum has dropped off as it jams the slides which means slowing down .they where never designed for that use, drag race only.
they may just spit ya off in the corners .sorry
39mm kiehins would be better.
dragracing, because it takes more than one ball !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a set one time (courtesy of Hadleigh Custom), they just were a pig on the street - almost impossible to get to do anything under 5,000rpm. I would not recommend even attempting to use on a street bike.
