Hi,
all,due to short legs,has anybody fitted shorter rear s/abs to a Z1 1975.
mine has an alloy strenthened swinging arm,and even at its lowest setting the bike is sitting to high, causing me to have the rear chain a bit on the tight side to stop it hitting the swinging arm.
any help would be great, and yes have already tried gluing extensions on to my boots, well nearly.
if anyone has the right length eye to eye,to bring it down at least 2"
Help.
thanks.
Dougie.

Hi Dougie, the standard length is 350mm eye to eye.
If you need some shorter shocks,I've got a set that are 325mm eye to eye.
cheers,
Jack

Dougie, I'm vertically challanged also and have gone a different route. I got a cut down seat from BeeZeees a few years ago, and it doesn't look out of place. It also does'nt alter the ground clearance or steering geometry which is a great help.
I'm sure our other suppliers do them I just got a good price at the time plus it was fun watching the display being taken apart to get the seat.

Just a thought anyway (lateral thinking).

Now you tell me Dave

I just bought a set of as new Hagon's for a ZRX1100 because I wanted to lift the back end of my Z900Ltd slightly by 15mm. I assumed the standard ones were 350mm like the Z900A4 looks like e bay time for them!!!
