While on the subject of sprockets.
Some one on here said awhile ago the the latter Zs had an offset 17 tooth front sprocket.
Any one any idea of parts numbers or have an old one I could try.
Want to see if I can get one on the Harris with the Hydraulic cly on.

Its certanly not Z1r as the 15 tooth has just enough to clear the casings when the chain is on.

Mine is a Z1000A2 630 chain fitted in a Harris frame with a Fireblade 180 back wheel with a small sprocket fitted.
Hence the need for an offset sprocket.
Have a Offset Billet 16 tooth front sprocket on there now but wanted to see if I can get a 17 on there without the expense of another billet sprocket.

You' ll probably have to cut away the casing to get a 17 on and it will probably be very close to the pushrod.
The only "OEM" front sprocket has a 6mm offset and is off a gpz750a1 but usually only available with 15 teeth.
http://www.jtsprockets.com/52.0.html?&L ... id=1145&p=
You should be able to work out what the radius will be for the different sprocket and chain to see it it will fit
3/4 x 17 = 22/7 x 2 x r = 2.0284 inches
plus half height of chain
should give the approximate radius of the new sprocket plus chain.
I would leave a couple of mm more for any throw out when changing gears / overrun etc

Already been down the GPZ750 route, I have a 15 tooth offset from one in my spares pile!
I am sure I read someone saying some of the later Zs had an 17 tooth offset sprocket on them.
Will have to go though a lot of posts to find it I guess.
