KZ1000a1 Carb slides needed

#1 PostAuthor: Redzed » Wed Nov 09, 2016 6:22 pm

I'm in the process of getting this kz up and running after a long layup, around 15 years it looks like by the dates on the tyres.
After a bit of basic recomisioning I've had it fired up and running...but not very well as it wouldn't tick over and the revs kept climbing as the bike warmed up....after a bit of scratching about it appears two of the carb slides have somehow been butchered by the dpo and have very limited movement in their bores causing the slides to lock up and not drop causing the racing tick over.
So reason for this post is I need a pair of slides to get me on the road, I'm assuming the carbs are standard, they look like every other a1 I've seen with the mixture screw underneath. I've looked at Z power but they don't list carb slides, I was wondering where else do people get carb spares for there kz's or if anyone has a couple going spare.
Rob.

Thanks for the reply.
Just to update I saw a box of mixed mikuni vm spares on the bay, there's some slides in the box marked 1.5s, I like a gamble so I bought em, just waiting on em now.

If no luck with the spares from e.bay try John Browse M/C 01978 355556 for good used parts and he is a great guy to deal with.
