NOW MOVED TO THE HELP SECTION

Has any one got a pair of front brake calipers to fit a set of GPZ1100B2 forks with standard wheel and disks please.
I think that Z1000 j are the same and some of the other Z/KZ1000/1100 and 750 models after about 1980 but could be wrong and would welcome any advice from anyone who has used other calipers .
I don't want to use adaptor plates if possible as I want it to look fairly standard.
I have a set of GPZ1100 unitrac ones and thought they would fit but they are for different size disks and mountings.
Looking to buy or I have loads of GPZ1100A1 unitrac chassis stuff to trade if you need anything and some Zed stuff.
Thanks

Thats odd - I''ve bolted unitrack callipers straight onto my B2 (and onto a 550 years ago)!

I believe that kawasaki used the same calipers across the whole range of a period of bikes, all interchange (eg 550 fits 750 fits 1100 unitrac). The disk size varies and the position of caliper lugs on the fork leg varies to match the disk. B1s and B2s have 10 mm different sizedisks, so the fork legs arent interchangeable unless the disk changes too.

I have no idea why they won't bolt on, as I think they should. Its a good upgrade as the original B2 type calipers are a bit lame as they twist on their sliders, so wasting braking force and wearing the pads unevenly. Unitrack callipers are a much better design. They have the same piston diameter too so they work fine with aB2 master cylinder.
Kawasaki in the 70s and 80s very helpfully tended not to change bolt hole spacings unless they had to, so front mud guards (for example) are readily interchangeable.

Post photos if you like and I'll try and work out why they aren't lining up.

Apologies for misleading information posted above - unitrack callipers won't bolt straight on without 10mm spacers welded on between the carriers and fork lugs.

I have now found that my problem is not with the calipers but it is actually the discs that are wrong on my bike as it needs a pair of 280mm 7 hole.
A big thanks to everyone who contacted me with offers of calipers and grovelling apologies for wasting their time.
