Hi Guys,

I'm at point of giving up trying to find someone that can fix these crankcases in Paris, not speaking French really not helping :) Does anyone have a good set for sale? I've found some on eBay but stupid money and some seem to have the same issue..

Also still need some 1100 barrels to put my 1170 kit in.

Cheers

Hi Paul,

The engine mount is broken on the top case, but I was always led to believe it's best not to only change one crankcase? maybe I was mislead there?

Cheers

I've got a good set of ex Kipkawa z1000j cases out of their race bike. These have been machined by Alan @ Kipkawa to take a 1260 kit. Not sure if that's what your looking for but I was about to put them up for sale shortly anyway. Looking for £100 + postage if any use

Hi Mike

Do you know if anything else has been modified? I'm guessing I can use these with the 1170 kit no pro sports as well. Any barrels ? :)

Cheers

Hi Lee,

I don't know is the honest answer.....hopefully someone on here significantly more knowledgable than me about these motors will answer that one ref the 1170 kit being okay on this setup. I don't have the top end/barrels etc for it unfortunately......I don't think anything else is modified

Cheers

Give Jack (Londons calling) a shout, he's had both Unitrac & 'J' bottom ends from me. I'm sure he'll help you out.

Neil,

Yeah that's what I would have thought, but no luck yet. I now have a friendly Frenchman who has managed to understand my dodgy google translate French.. Waiting for him to hit me with the price though. Failing that I will need deeper into if I can use these modified ones or get hold of Jacks ones... Will see what he comes back with tomorrow

Managed to score, found a set of crankcases and by chance the guy had a set of 1100 barrels. Happy days. Thanks Guys for the help.
