Not at all, mine are superb! Virtually as good as modern stuff! Want more calipers to convert another bike! Where great back in the day, and are at least twice as good now.

Apologies for hijacking this post but i'm on the look out for a right hand caliper as well to beef up the standard left one on my KZ1000A1. They seem to be as rare as hen's teeth.
Does anyone know what else would fit (even prepared to turn the fork sliders round and fit a pair behind the fork leg)
