Cheers for the link, but those switches are for the later J3 models.
The J1/J2 is a different type.
Might see if Baldrick has a cunning plan

Z1000J Ign switch

#4 PostAuthor: mattc » Tue Nov 04, 2014 6:56 pm

Hi Z1Bman....not that I want to pay the big bucks, but do you know where the originals can still be bought? ...in event of last resort etc.....thought they were impossible to get.

Any luck with Baldric's plan Jack?

Also has anyone ever had any joy trying to replace just the lock mechanism? The body, wiring and lower rotating parts/spring I have....just buggered switch and cap. One would hope that the switch guts was common with another model or is this too much to hope for....

Cheers, Matt

Thanks for that...right part number......just a major gulp on the cost. Will try all other options to fix the switch internals first.
Cheers
