Aesthetic condition not important, but would like a straight one.

I am going to destroy it, to start with, so I can make a Z1100R style stay to fit, so the cheaper the better.

Thanks

It seems harsh for a poor defenceless mudguard, but once I've ground out the rivets so I can use the profile of the stay to make a Z1100R shaped one and rivet that back in it will be restored to be live once more as a more valuable part.

It could all go horribly wrong!!

I have a J style bracket on its own, (the one with the holes in it), no blade.
Not much use really but there it is.
De-riveting the guards is fairly straightforward,... re-riveting them is not nearly so easy. Just so you know.

If I could borrow it Al, I can start on the bracket.

I will be seeing you shortly anyway.

No problem Mark.
If;... as you say the blade is the same as the J, i would be looking to cut the side plates off a J type one and replace with solid plates of the correct profile.

Much much easier than messing about with rivets and sets.

Was looking at this.
Its similar in shape / design but probably too wee.

That's a fair point Al, easy to weld the new side plates to the old brace.

I've got a couple of 1100R mudguards so I can do a bit of measuring and comparing.
