Mikey, no its not a z its a GPZ the last of its kind and trust me, for the price of a new tank which is only available in black a full paintset is available for the Z but if your gpz is set up right the only completion is newer stuff for a thousand cc's if the zrx11 had gone like the GPZ1000RX did in 88, it would have been a better performer than bandits and such, its still a whoopdedoo engine and as such Kawasaki used a lot of parts in the zrx, if you have a noisey right hand side there a bloke in the states who does a conversion kit to cure the racket the starter gear chain can slap about, remember its watercooled like most things and stuff does fail but there is a wealth of info on how to fix it, cradley do keep most of the parts, the powerbronze fairing is the best one these days, I do have some bits some daft stuff but not throwing owt away, just send us a message if your stuck, I have a soft spot for these puppies, they have a rich heritage, if you can see past the fuel problems rusty tanks blocked jets seized carbs there is a Kawasaki engine which once again has had a fair production run starting with the Gpz900r 1984 to the Zrx1200S of 2008, make sure the cam chain tensioner is working properly gen camchain is only £32 quid or so on e-bay, stuff which is like hens teeth, the M&P shorty rear guard, the stainless bar ends, anti- dive metal pipes genuine mirrors, its worthwhile refurbing the calipers they're not stainless pistons, powerhouse keep all the bits, braided brake hose, 5 lines front, helps if you can reign in the 125 donkeys when you need to, theres loads of tuning goodies, but like Jimmock says, How fast do you want to go???
Whiley Coyote, or Roadrunner...Beep Beep!
