Mark II front mudguard and wheels

Call me crazy/stupid/whatever but not having money for both an H and a mark II I thought I would make the H 'convertible'(no, not like a car). I have a set of bodywork from the Mark II but need the front mudguard and wheels. Then I can ride as the mood takes me.
Would anyone be able to help with either of those items? In case not, can anyone tell me easily if the Mark II has the same wheels/front mudguard as any other model to help widen the search?
Many thanks in advance.....

as you know the front mudguard is painted on the z1000h but i am sure the mk11 is the same except it is chrome. the wheels should also be the same apart from the colour. front mudguards are like rocking horse shite to get but do come up for sale occasionally + are not cheap

Thanks Paul, so you're suggesting that I can look at 'h' parts too and have them chromed/painted accordingly? Will any other models have the same? I know the ST won't work because of the trailing axle on the fork.
cheers

If the front wheel diameter is 19" you could try the z1000 ltd models with the mk2 engine, they have chrome mudguards but with a slightly different side profile. Later K models have leading axles like the ST so won't help.

Thanks Adam, will look into those options. 'Leading' axle!, that's what I meant of course.
In the meantime if anyone has these bits to sell I'd be very interested
cheers Jonathan

I hope you don't mean you have a mk2 tank?
Won't work with FI as it needs a return fuel feed into the tank.
I have a chrome front mudguard on my H I was going to get painted. If you find an H front mudguard and want to swap let me know.
Oops!

That's exactly what I mean Chris!! Better look into that then.....
I guess I could always add a return but maybe swap for an h tank would be a better idea?
Ok, modified request now: Mark II tank offered for h tank if anyone interested. That's a shame as the one I bought is just about good enough to use without spraying. If I get an h tank I'll need to respray. It's the old adage of a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!

Doremi do a replica MK2 Front mudguard + a lot of other interesting bits.
These are listed on the Webike site
http://japan.webike.co.uk/ps/#!p.m=6284&p.c=1114&p.sk=1
Z-power also do one - but they are £310 !!

I wouldn't bother with sourcing a set of wheels if it's just a case of wanting the right colour wheels for a Mark 2.
Just my opinion - but if your H wheels are Gold then they will look stunning with the MK2 body work in standard colours - this is because the gold wheels will pick out the gold pinstripes on the tank, side panels & tailpiece.

Thanks for the post Nick. I'll have a look at webike. I'm in the US at the moment and I can't get the page up on my laptop. I'll have a look in reception when I go down. I think maybe you're right and I'll leave the wheels for now and see what it looks like first. Just need to suss out the return line now then. Perhaps a bit of garden hose into the filler and the grunge look ;)
cheers

I'm wondering if webike is down? I've tried 3 different computers now including 3G on an iPad and can't get it to load. Will try again from home. Anyone else got the same issue?
Thanks

you could get a scrap gpz1100 tank & remove the pressure release fitting from the tank & get it welded / brazed into the mk11 tank you have

That sounds feasible Paul. To be honest it's longer term at the moment. I'm just collecting parts but I suspect this won't get done till next winter. I'll keep an eye out for that fitting in the meantime.
