wanted - early Z1 or Z1A sprocket cover

You can polish the gear positions off a later one.

What's an early cover like?

I may have one as it is different to all the others I have seen.

Anybody got a pic. or info. which may help?

it doesn't have any gear numbers on it.

Kas - I've thought about that, but they're embossed pretty deep, I think there is another type with the raised numbers - that would be handy too.

z1a has the raised numbers , very easy to polish away

Yep, one was fitted to my 73 and polished the numbers away.

My 73 has the correct one, ie no gearshift pattern.
