it doesn't have any gear numbers on it.

Kas - I've thought about that, but they're embossed pretty deep, I think there is another type with the raised numbers - that would be handy too.

z1a has the raised numbers , very easy to polish away

Yep, one was fitted to my 73 and polished the numbers away.
