The bike is a 1977 KZ 650 showing just under 19000 miles. I'm the first UK owner it came in from Arizona.
With bikes like this its very difficult to guarantee the mileage but I'd be very surprised if it were incorrect, i've ran it back to back with a one owner as new 4000 mile B2 there's no difference in fact mines slightly looser and feels marginally more responsive. I've owned it for 15 mths during that time its started and ran well however there were jobs that needed doing:-
New rear shocks.
New chain and sprockets.
New tyres BT45's.
Complete front suspension overhaul.
Other than that just the normal stuff carbs cleaned, oil, filters, plugs etc etc.
Condition wise to me its an 8-8.5 out of 10 but I am incredibly fussy, my brother who is equally particular said the same re condition. There are some small marks on the left hand exhaust where its been scuffed the most noticeable is the size of a 1p coin! To me its a really nice genuine bike you can use and not fuss over, in the past i've restored several bikes most notably a 67 Bonneville which took years of my life and bank balance.
The biggest problem with fully restored bikes is no matter how well they are done if you actually ride them they deteriorate ever so slightly over time - fine if your simply a polisher\looker not so good if you prefer to ride them....
Currently its on SORN and the mot has just expired in honesty its now laid up for the winter the pics were taken when it was cleaned before putting it away. I'm looking for £3000 that would include mot and tax, it owes me nearer £4k.
I live in the northeast - Sunderland.
