As the post says, I'm after an ST frame, needs to be straight and obviously rot free. V5 not needed.
Anyone have such a thing lurking?
Cheers

What, no-one?
At least tell me I've got no chance or something.
Not knowing is killing me!

I am Jimmock, well trying to. Can't seem to find a frame, although I did ask a breaker on ebay, he said he had one and it was £300. Must be gold plated then!!

Nigel, Bide your time, they come up on ebay from time to time & don't make a lot of money £50 - £100.
I bought a complete ST 3 or 4 years ago for £400 & broke it for £1200.

Maybe that's the way to go

A few years ago they were loathed and could be picked up cheap but like pretty much all the z range they have become fairly sought after now

That sounds like a plan GB, one that makes good sense.
DK spares say they may have one for £150 to £180 depending if they have to strip it down. Is that reasonable?
Is it worth keeping an eye out at netley?
Cheers

Bit expensive at £150 if no V5 but it's worth whatever you are willing to spend if you want one asap.
For me, the worth of the later frames is in the V5 as they are not in short supply or as sought after is an early z1/9 frame.
If i put an ST frame with no V5 on ebay i doubt whether it would hardly get a bid.

I was gonna use the V5 I have for the ltd frame Rob, trouble is, as soon as you make enquiries to breakers, they jump on the fact that you actually need the part they've got.

There's one being broken on EBay .
They have only listed calipers and forks do far.
Listing states the bike is being broken.
