Z1000 owners/service manual

#1 PostAuthor: Bongoball » Wed Jun 27, 2012 10:00 pm

Ay up Chaps,
Can I download a digital copy of an owners/service manual for a Z1000a2?
Or has anyone got an analogue copy they don't want?
Cheers,
Bongo.

Hi Bongo
There is a Z1000 A1 Assembly & Prep Manual on my rebuild website if that's of any use.

http://www.zedrider.co.uk/manuals--info.html

It also has a Z1 Factory Manual - and judging by the Haynes book I have most of the stuff is very much the same other than front brake and rear disc of course.

Someone like PJ or MaineKZ will advise you I am sure.

Cheers from Mark

Hi Bongo

Don't know if you are doing any work on the motor but there is a magazine series by Dave Marsden from Z Power taking you right through strip down, examination and rebuild of Z900 & early 1000 motors here for you.

It's a good read even if you are not going that far this time.

Aparently the main engine change on the A2 was some crank shaft modification for the woodruff key. Take a look anyhow - here you go -

Also a short service guide for 900 motors which will be mostly applicable to your machine.
