Well after 19 yrs untouched in my mates garage - finally came to an agreement and proud owner of a genuine 1 owner ELR with 16k miles.
The old girl's in pretty exceptional condition, all original except for toot Marshall exhaust hence add. So if anyone has a rather good race exhaust on the side please let us know. Are Kerkers the best?
If anyone also has a link for handbook or one for sale - (idiots guide) would be great.
Will load a few pics when up and running - fingers crossed.
Cheers
Nick

Nick,

congrats...

The best was and is the Kerker system.

ok, quality is not really good, corrosion and broken headers can happen...

BUT:

In 1980 in Germany a lot of 4-1 systems were tested on a MK II.
Kerker was the best of all.

In 1982 and 1983 Kawasaki USA offered the KZ1000R1 and the KZ1000R2 - both were equipped in the US with Kerker street systems.

For Europe stay only the 4-2, it was told, those Kerker systems were much to loud - in 1983...!

No other choice for me.

Cheers
