HI GUYS,I"VE GOT POOR COMPRESSION ON MY Z1A,CYLINDERS 2&3,ONLY 70PSI,I NEED TO DO A LEAK DOWN TEST,HAS ANYONE GOT THE KIT,LEND,HIRE OR SELL,ANY HELP OR ADVICE APPRECIATED.THANKS

is that across all 4 cylinders or just one ?

you need to test hot with the throttle wound fully open.

given you've done that you can get rough guess as to whether its valves or rings by pouring a bit of oil into the bore - if the pressure goes up the rings are shot - if not then its valves.

do you have a friendly local garage you can tap up to help ?

Steve, if you can get bike over to me would be happy to do comp test for you,i made a leak down tester from an old spark plug cant find it but easy to make one up.I am in Wolverhampton...Paul J

Do you have access to a compressor?

I have one with a fitting to plug into a standard pcl female fitting

or if not then I can put you together one with a standard end for an airline.

Let me know if you need one (and which type ) and i will get one off to you
