i'm after a flywheel/rotor for my gpz1100 but a z1000j is the same if anyones got one

The repro ones from Electrex have a keyway cut in them because they are used for several different models / applications.
The GP and J rotor has no keyway as standard.
The problem comes with using a keyed rotor on a shaft that is reliant on 100ft/lbs + to hold it onto just a taper that the 'core' can shear at the keyway. I have seen one from a J recently that had this happen.
Rumour has it that you can drill the magnet body off the core and the same with another rotor and re-rivett it back together. I think its the ZX6 or 750r that has the same magnet body dimensions. You would need to check this out yourself.
They are lighter and have the newer type of magnets that dont break when you look at them.
