Hi All,
My brother in law has just started the restoration of his Z650 F3 (1982). The master cylinder sight glass is cracked and weeping (hit by a stone!!) and he is looking for a reliable fix or replacement of the glass or even changing the whole unit if one is available from someone on here. Can anyone help please? I will get him to sign up and post some pics of the resto if I can.
By the way, he says it is a 'coffin' shaped master cylinder and the bike is an Italian import if that matters. A replacement seat base is also on the list (pattern or copy).

Hi Redzee, try measuring the glass in the resevoir and see if it is the same as the oil sight glass in the clutch cover. Mine is the same, but the m/c I have is the oblong metal type. I think you can still buy the oil sight glass, the m/c ones were never a stock part

Nice one, measured the oil sight glass and it appears to be the same
Worth taking a punt and buying one to try at that price. Brother in law sends his thanks, much appreciated.
