Classic bike buyers guide recent magazine?

#1 PostAuthor: m1ks » Wed Jan 27, 2010 9:59 pm

Help please, anyone.

I recently saw advertised in an issue of Bike mag one or two issues back a magazinre titled Classic bike buyers guide.
Looked the same format / people as Classic bike magazine which I occasionally get?
I remember thinking i'll pick that up next time i'm in Inverness, (doesn't happen often), an dthe local shops are hopeless unless you want a copy of heat or any magazine that shows you who Jordan is currently doing and what whiny t**ts like Cheryl (why aye man) cole are moaning about or endorsing at present.
So long story short - (ish)
By the time i got to inverness, no bloody sign of the mag and I'd really really like a copy, have checked classic bike back orders and googled all over the place but cannot find it.
If anyone knows where I can order a back issue or even has one they've done with i can purchase? I'd be very grateful.

Thanks,

Mike

Somebody else asked about this a while ago, seems they had a problem getting it too.
I got my copy from W H Smith, but this was quite a while ago, have you tried the magazine man?

e-mail him if you can't find it.

Hi Mike, I had a total nightmare trying to get it.

I tried about 40 shops in a 15 mile radius of my house.

I phoned the publishers and was told EVERY ONE had been sold. It was limited edition and sold out almost straight away. They didn't even have an Archive copy left!!

By pure chance I spoke to Ian Marshall about it and he said he had seen a few in WH Smith in Waverely Train station, Edinburgh a week or so before hand. I phoned them in the morning. They had 3 left. I jumped in a train which cost £8 return and bought the lot. They were £7 each. I sold one for £7 to a buddy in the VJMC and Iain has said he wants the other one.

If Iain hadn't claimed the third one I'd have sent it up to you for cost.

One went on ebay for £10.50 the day after I bought the 3 I had.

Arse, magazine mans got them listed but sold out.

Dammit.

I don`t suppose you want to sell on your copy Jimmock?
Or persuade Iain he doesn`t really want one. :)
(he says hopefully)
Or even a loan of it for a read and return to you? I,d be quite happy to pay postage.
I`m hoping now, given the popularity it`ll be re printed, fingers crossed there.
