rev drive in head

got a 1976 a4 had all the head done up .new valves.new stems .new seats etc.
bloke who put it back on for me has broken rev drive housing, he has put liquid metal on it but when very warm drips on exhaust any thoughts

    Have you replaced the seals on the tacho drive?
    There is a seal in the housing, where the cable fits, also an "o"ring on the actual gear.
