Hi Zapo, if your going to send the burglars round ask them to leave something for me, I doubt they will get a lot here
.
I am going to get mine blasted next week to see if there is any real damage from such a long storage, then I will decide if it is to be painted or re-chromed (expensive). If you need any more measurements let me know and I will look at it properly this weekend. I do like that pipe that Zpower do though it is very similar to the piper and it will probably be sturdier.

I look forward to a photo, if the silencer comes out on the right and sweeps up just past the rear shocks it might be a piper. Yoshis are much shorter.....and I think they come out on the left side.......or was that the alphas.........oh dear, lost marbles, must find beer.....Mmmmmmm
Yoshi is lower on the right, alpha is low and left!

That looks like it's a Piper with a few inches chopped off the end of it.
I seem to remember that the Piper system I had on my Z1b 25 years ago looked pretty much the same as this pipe but was a bit longer , it was a common modification back then to cut a bit off the end of the pipe because they stuck out a bit from the side of the bike because of the angle the pipe was bent when they were manufactured originally.
The mounting lug from the pipe to the frame looks like the same set up as a Piper and this was another weak point on these pipes , keep on grounding the pipe out on roundabouts and the lug usually gave way until you managed to wear away enough of a flat area on the lower part of the pipe
The Yoshi systems were lower and were bent to follow a cleaner less angular line under the bike and as someone has already mentioned the Alfa pipes exited on the left of the bike.
I will post a few photos on here later today of both a Yoshi pipe and an Alfa pipe so that you can compare them with this pipe, just have to get into the shed first and dig out the pipes to get the photos sorted.
From memory I think the Yoshi pipes also had the Yoshi logo stamped on them underneath the pipe on the base of the 4 into 1 collector ?
