The ltd tank from the seventies has no fuel gauge float access under the tank.
The following tanks are interchangeable:
CSR M1 - 1981
CSR M2 - 1983
LTD K1 - 1981
LTD K2 - 1983
Any KZ1000P Police bike up to and including 2001
They all used variants of the 51001 tank - the part number changes referring to the different paint schemes. Hope that helps.
BTW - a lot of engine parts that are supposedly no longer available for the CSR / LTD are exactly the same parts used in the Police bikes as they use the Z1000J engine and are still available from dealers - they just have a different part number. The only thing that are likely to be different are the cams - I think they were hotter for the later Z1000J bikes - power output is given as being higher over the softer CSR engines. You can still use them obviously - just need to be aware when setting timing.

OK thanks for the info, I'm watching a LTD tank on ebay now and it has the tap in the correct place unlike the one last week. I'll have to see how much it reaches before I bid cos as I said mine is a bit of a rat and I ain't gonna spend too much on it, Thanks again bud. $Dark Skies wrote:The ltd tank from the seventies has no fuel gauge float access under the tank.
