I have an American style steering lock you can have mate. It is brand new and looks like the expensive one on Yankbay up near the top of this post - unfortunately I do not have a key for it though.

From memory, it does have a key number on the barrel so you could get one cut. If it hasn't - then I know the number anyway cos I use the keys in my other locks on my bike.

It came to me as part of a complete lock set I bought and I used the rest on my Z650. The steering lock on mine is different so I could not use that bit
