wanted: engine covers ANY CONDITION

I'm going to blast and spray my empty engine as an assembled (bead proof) lump so I'm looking for some old covers to use.
Looking for:
Ignition housing,
magneto cover,
clutch cover,
breather cover
oil sender

Condition is not important, they are just to protect the machined faces so anything is welcomed.

Also will need some rubber bungs if anyone knows a seller.

Will let you know how it works out.

Masking tape and then insulting tape on top of that will protect the ones you already have Glyn

mmm, I had my mind fixed on a special set. I'm going to do 3 engines, but I reckon your right Geoff, but I think gaffer tape will be safer.
I'm going to do them in the tent I took to the yorks run - still thawing out.

I had a perfectly good working engine that wanted painting , and i couldn't be arsed stripping it so i just used loads of tape

I've already stripped mine down, but if I hadn't I reckon its the way to go. Treat the outside while its 'leak proof' - bead blast - paint - then strip as necessary.
