Hello over here from the kZ1000R board, where I am onceaz1100r
There are a brand new Unitrak set on E bay Germany, different part numbers, but I don't know how different they actually are, seeing as it's effectively the same engine, with the same mounting points underneath.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kawasaki-GPZ1 ... 29fbb3bfa1
and

You could always buy one of these...

to see if it fits first.

Hi ELR-21.
Good to here from you after Spa.
Did you get the bike fixed?
Hi onceaz1100r, Gus here from the KZ1000R.com site.
Do you know if there is a problem with Kano's web pages?
For the last 2 days my p.c. has been throwing up a malware warning when I try to view the site and also on my works computer.
Cheers
Gus

My problem ist, I just bought those UT pipes many years ago. I guessed they will fit, but yesterday I learned: they do not...
I will keep those UT pipes, as I can complete a UT system, which I also grabbed whereever I could...
But I really NEED those B2/R pipes. Meanwhile I found one, #2, if I´m right.
So I am still only after #3.
If you will see such one...

Hi Gus,
yes I am fine - and my daily driver, too :-)
We mounted an UT engine in it and now I have some HP´s more...
Actual I try to finish my near 20 years restoration of my second oldest R.
Have near all spares I need - a German mag wants to to an article about those bikes.
That´s why I have to finish very soon with this project.
Its really hurry as they want to their photo session in a sunny and nice ambience of late summer.
You´re right. KZ1000R.com is not available. But I didn´t had any warning last times I was there.
I assume we will use the page agaon very ssoon.
Cheers from Germany

I guess you've seen these, which look like B1 painted ones, instead of black chrome - but if it gets you up and running....

One could think I have all the time in the world - that´s wrong.
After 15 years of rest I started to fnish that bike.
NOW IT MUST BE COMPLETE ASAP!![]()
And no, I don´t think I should buy B1 parts...![]()
Thanks
Rolled eyes - very rude!!
I was trying to help, I couldn't care less if your bike is finished "ASAP", not anybody's problem but your own.
BUT, the answer as always is in the question - you've been looking for 15 years, now you need them "ASAP"!!!
Why did I suggest B1 pipes? Without any pipes all the parts you collected for 15 years are wasted, if you build it with B2 pipes, they can be changed when the correct ones come along, I pointed them out as a possible part time solution, I didn't threaten to come and weld them on!!!
Think - if you finish the bike with B1 pipes and put it in the press, what a perfect opportunity to point it out and advertise for the correct pipes, but don't worry, if you sit with 15 years worth of work going nowhere, it will not cost me a wink of sleep.

The background why I should and must be in hurry is simple: there ´s a vintage bike magazine, and those guys want to make an article of my bikes,. especially THIS one.
And they want to do it NOW...!
That´s it.
May be I had should better use the embarrassed smiley than the rolling eyes...
