I had an original on mine and it let me down on its way home from MOT. Copper contacts had returned to their elemental state. My mate lost the lid for me when he borrowed the bike for a trip to Belgium, so i replaced it with one of these:

Called a "Surface Mount Fuse Box" its £7.03p for the six way plus p&p +VAT + etc.

Takes the later type blade fuses available from any garage, if thats where you find yourself.

P.S. Fuses not included.

Hope this helps.

1000J fuseboxes
I think the lids must've been an optional extra  :??
Though Paul, you've been lucky with a full length rear mudguard so let's see if you can go 2 out of 2
Thanks for the info and link about the blade fuse boxes Al,nice one  :D

My mate has stripped a Z1000J to make a race bike so I have all the leftover parts.

Apart from frame, engine, forks, swing arm, bodywork, and seat I may have the rest.

So I may have some GPZ, J, R and Lawson compatible parts

Is this what you need?

It's late, I'll look for the cover in the morning after Stella has finished with me! if I remember!!!!
