First ride of the year

I had a run over to the Raven in Whitchurch this afternoon on my Z1A, this was it`s first run of the year and it ran spot on as expected. When I arrived, I spotted another one, same colour as mine but cleaner. This was owned by a guy from Shrewsbury called Dave, as we were chatting, a green one turned up. This one belonged to Crispyduck, also from Shrewsbury. So a good turn out of Z1A`s, also there was a mint 1100R owned by Henry Stubbs. This was a good day out.

Well, I've tried to put the photos on and failed. I give up ! However, they are on the Z1 owners page on Facebook.

Great to meet you Compo.
What a suprise to park next to x2 Z1s the same and yet none of us knew each other.
That other bloke had way too much time on his hands looking at the shine of the chrome. We can talk about him as he does not know how to switch on a computer let alone visit a website.
My bike purred home lovely ride and great weather.

Was good to meet you Crispy. Daves Z1 was very clean indeed, but so was yours. Perhaps you have as much spare time as him ? hahaha.
It was good to see 3 Zeds in one place, and being used, not sat in a shed. Also good to hear your machine ran as wel as it looked.

Great to chat to you Compo and seeing your bike being used but not abused. That Dave bloke even had a GPz 900.
By the time we left it was getting a bit chilly and i had an almost clear run home cruising at 80 mph. Bike was smooth and handling well. I was pleasantly surprised after the long Winter lay up.
I have a good 3 hour session cleaning my bike once year whether it needs it or not.
