Any Excuse

#1 PostAuthor: nicomkii » Fri Nov 27, 2015 9:01 am

Up on brothers farm doing harvest and we blew a hose on his Volvo FH16. So jumped in my ute and dashed back down to Perth (3.5hrs) got a new hose made up using original fittings.
Stopped at home for a feed and quick sleep then thought what the hell. Time for the GPZ to have a country run so up early next morning and leaving the shitty at 4:00am to tackle the wildlife until sunup.

Park up out in the paddock, makes for interesting dirt riding with the 16": front. Fitted the hose and back home same day.

Still over the moon with the GPZ reliability, once on the open road she just kept sneaking up to give me the speed limit + a 'little bit' of interest.......
Not bad at all for a 750km (460mile) dash in 10 hours including fitting the hose.

SPEED IS JUST A QUESTION OF MONEY...HOW FAST DO 'YOU' WANT TO GO?

Poxy Volvo OEM ones that have now been grinded, silver soldered and hydraulically crimped to a more substantial hose than the straw pipe it came with.
