Night Out with the Harley Boys

#1 PostAuthor: wheelysteve » Thu Jul 23, 2015 8:36 pm

Went to the bike night at Reading Hardley Ableson this evening. Very good turn out and I didn't get thrown out !

I've tried hard to see the attraction of HD bikes/lifestyle but I just can't see it.

I don't get the the Harley thing either, I don't do dressing up etc. we have a local dealership in Guildford, I popped in on their open day on on my GPz1100, sales staff were pissed off at the attention it got...
that said at least its a bike but it does attract more that its fair share of tossers!

No prob's with the bikes - just don't see the need for the Fancy Dress outfits.

I had a 1200 sportster, lovely evo engine and it did go well, chrome and paint was shite and gearbox blew up through not having a cush rubber, then fitted a kevlar belt, pity other manufacturers don't use it, loved it on b roads.

to taffus " potato potato " there are probably load's of harley rider's saying exactly the same thing as you " i dont get this kawasaki thing " each to there own . i'm turning alot of attention that i used to turn to bike's into scalextric's , my zed stuff is on the back burner while i'm spending silly money on model car's , loft as never look as nice , was already fully insulated , and boarded , now got 32 inch telly / dvd , carpeted , and full ( in scale silverstone race track ) cheers marlin ps taffus don't let other get you down . Each to their own. Harley riders do look silly though.

If you can pass the road captain, he's got the wrong job.

You don't need to join the tassel club to ride a Harley, you can just own a Harley and mix with your own like-minded mates in ordinary clothes.

I think part of the attraction is that you were there and there was somewhere for you to be.

There wasn't a zed night to go to instead.

On again tomorrow night.

Mark.
