Spotted in the glorious Sunday sunshine at Medway Triumph MCC Show, at Higham Village Memorial Hall, near Strood, Kent.
Predominantly, it's all about the Trumpets, a mixture of new, old and some specials with plenty of other British and European bikes on show too.
This caught my eye and had a nice chat with the lady rider, who used to be a member of the club many moons ago apparently, A nice looking 1976 A4, tidy, not overly restored, and in regular use.
Aside from the oil cooler and the Kerker Exhaust (Kwikasfuki)?, it appears to be mostly original, especially that gorgeous factory paint job. The lady riders' partner, rides the Bullet Bobber next to this, (of interest to Mick maybe...?...) which I have pictured elsewhere here and at other shows parked next to my Bullet!
He told me, if someone is prepared to pay up to £3000 for an original set of four pipes, so be it, so off they came?
The Kerker was recently sourced from the USA for less than £500 including shipping.
(This was the only old Kawasaki here today, but there would have been another in attendance if my ST was ready....).

Quote from somewhere out there for comparison:
"1976 Kawasaki Z900. Beautiful Japanese classic.
With the introduction of the Z900, although the basic shape remained the same as the Z1 models, there were several styling changes along with some important mechanical improvements. The engine of the Z900 was produced in a bare aluminium finish as with the Z1A and Z1B. Redesigned and smaller 26mm Mikuni carburettors were used in an effort to improve mid range rideability. The electrical system was redesigned and now featured a three way fuse system. The frame was now manufactured using thicker walled tubing to reduce flexing in order to improve handling. A great investment and a delightful machine to own and enjoy.

Nice bike but my eyes kept going back to that serious oil cooler though. Never knew it got hot enough to need a cooler of that magnitude on your bikes up there

Aztec, when was this? I only live about 5 miles from Higham, if I'd have known about it, I would have had a nosey.

I'd have bowled along on the XS had I known was not doing much Sunday.

Paint (or paint set) is Z1B not A4.

Twas' Sunday 07th. Info usually only found via there www or the British type bike press. It's one of there annual shows, small, low key affair, with lots of café racers, Gold Stars and Nortons,
All sorts ride-in, have tea and bacon rolls, prizegiving and raffle at 1pm, then whoosh....rapidly, they all go.
I missed a picture of a ratty z650 too, not seen before, with some unusual 'mods'. Shame I had to take the train!
(Not far away, on the Saturday, Ship Inn at Darenth had a custom show on all day too. Me and that Bullet Bobber were in that one last year).
I like the small shows, but must admit, I've not ventured out too much so far this year.

Whatever. It looks spot on. Would like to copy that paintwork, must be a way.

V&H looks good, if old. Stocks now available in UK @ £399 I note.

It's a standard Z1b paint job which has been replicated countless times by lots of painters used by owners on here.

Yes, A4 in Z1B livery. MK2 front mudguard.

Looks good and used in all weathers.
