Ride out today with Dave (zeddy) from this site. Cut short by his misbehaving b2...bump starting the b2 on the petrol station forecourt was not part of the plan! Hopefully no problems next week and more pics of us out and about!

I would encourage members to find others local to them and get out there and ride. Without the site I would never have found a like minded person less than 10 minutes away....get out there this summer!

I have a soft spot for the Z650.

Great bikes. Keep the pictures coming and good luck sorting the B2 out.

Lovely bikes!
Never had a Z650 myself but a good friend had a new one - it was in the Z1R light metallic blue with alloy wheels & twin discs - think it was a C2 but not 100% sure.
Anyhow luckily he used to let me ride it a fair bit & I always remembered it to be a cracking bike.
(I had a CB750 F1 at the time which in comparison was crap!)
The same chap traded the Z650 in for a brand new Z1000 MKII from 'Banbury Kawasaki' in 1979 - I think that's why I've always had a soft spot the MK2.
Blew me away the 1st time that I had a go on it!
From that point on I wanted a Kawasaki but couldn't afford a MK2 - I was on apprentice money at the time.
But a few years later I got a hold of a Z1R - NTL 630V - wonder what happened to that?.
The good news is that some 35 years on I'm lucky enough that a MK2 resides in my garage

Ok so I lied we went and looked at France (that's it in the distance past the cross channel ferries) we often get better phone signals from France here rather than UK :x

Yes you can guess what happened Daves B2 wouldn't start again...luckily we again found a younger fellow biker on a ZX6R to push again!
