Well received the pics as promised and some info about this bike
Hi - here is my Harris kawasaki. It has an f1 race frame with a z1000 mk11 motor. It is bored to 1200cc with 11:1 pistons, twin plug conversion, high lift cams, ported head, oversize titanium valves, welded and lightened crank (by 6.5lb). It also, has a race alternator which is only 40mm diameter and retains the starter clutch. A 'j' type clutch basket is fitted along with dyna 2000 coils and ignition. keihin cr 35mm special carbs are fitted and a lightweight li -ion battery. Instruments are motogadget from Germany and keyless ignition plus a lightweight wiring loom.
Ohlins suspension features front and rear. Modern size. Pvm wheels and disk's but with oldy world ap Lockheed calipers.
I wanted a cafe racer with a 70's endurance racer theme in the style of the kvas kool kawasakis, but with a modern twist.
Also pictured is my modernised gpz1100. This has similar mods to the motor but slightly lower compression at 10.5:1.
Hope you like them .

Beautiful bikes.
Though don't think you've really put much thought into how you're going to fit panniers and luggage racks!
Where did you get the narrow alternator?
I do track days on my Z1100R and the standard one gives ground clearance problems but I want to keep an alternator and starter for road use.

the race alternator is from Electrex , they only put out a decent charge at high RPM ideal for racing

Thanks. Have heard of Electrex but thought the starter had to be dumped.
Something to look into over the winter.
