This afternoon

Went for a billy no mates run out earlier today , as planned i finished up at the Heatons Bridge pub in Scarisbrick .
Was having a pint outside and chatting with a few mates who were there on their bikes .
A Z1B went past two up and then five minutes later pulled up on the car park having spotted my bike .
One of my mates knew him and we chatted away for an hour .
Turns out the guy is from my hometown , i didn't know him but i don't live there anymore .
Lovely bloke he was AND was 74 years old and had been out all afternoon with his wife on pillion .
He bought the bike new in 1975 .
Fair play to the two of them .

I hope i'm still breathing at their age Andy .
He'd had the bike painted and the mudguards at the same time , as a cheaper alternative to rechroming .
New set of exhausts and Hagon shocks .

Not sure of that long word myself but it is a splendid word .
The bike had 58 odd on it but his wife told me that he had two other bikes .
I didn't get what they were .

Great story , that's one of the major things what I love about motorcycling a real passion and commitment, not "styling" as in the HOG crowds.

I saw the one at the barn, for some reason it had two front brake leavers? dont think it was that one.
