There wer 2 spitfires and a Hurricane, one of the spitfires was a elongated nose recon "spy" job - thats it taking off, no guns fitted just a massive 37.5 litre engine and a top speed of 540mph- an amazing sound as it did it fly by's. The vulcan was dropped as of a fuel leak from one of the tanks , seen it before 3 times - awesome. If you look closely at the gerrman typhoon you will see them cleaning up the fuel spill from a leak - and this was in the static dispay area with a couple of thousad people milling about
The lancaster was FAB, with the pilot putting in a few steep banks in the turns

Looked a great day out that Ray.
A friend of mine in the states (who has 4 Rickman CR900 turbos, though not S+S) has a Mk14 Spitfire and a P51 Mustang.
The Mk14 is undergoing restoration at the moment but he said "
If you're ever coming over here, let me know and I'll take you up in the P51".
I've never been to the States...... yet!

I've got a customer based at Biggin Hill who has I think 3 fully restored and flying spitfires and a "few" more in various stages of restoration.
we have a couple of control panels to engrave for them and they've promised me a tour of the hanger and hopefully get in sit in one when I deliver them back

Well chuffed.
