Nice run out

#1 PostAuthor: Crofty » Tue Oct 09, 2012 6:29 pm

Made the most of today and took the 650 out for a few hours. Only been in York a few years, so headed south through various unknown B roads till I saw a sign for Selby and then Sherburn, so ended up at Squires for a coffee.
Bike ran great in the cool autumn air and have nearly clocked up just under 1000 miles for the last 6 months.
Going to keep riding it till they salt the roads, then its going to bed for the winter.
Wondered how many miles others have done over our (I use these words lightly) Summer??!!

I'll be taking my bikes off the road at the end of the month, so couldn't waste this sunny weekend and ventured to Cleethorpes on Sunday (the metropolis of the East coast  )
Had a very pleasant ride through the Wolds until SWMBO stopped at the side of the road on the GT380....... "here we go again" I thought, and after several useless prods with the kickstart, it dawned on me that it might have run out of petrol.
Onto reserve - and bingo  no further problems - but it's surprising how useful a fuel gauge is..........bloody primitive 380s

Nice bikes, I think the 380 was underrated, they make a good tourer
