The perfect weekend !!

#1 PostAuthor: Richard L » Mon Sep 10, 2012 8:11 pm

Hi,
After 3 weeks ''summer'' holidays in Devon where we had 3 days where it didn't rain ,it was almost a relief to get back to sunny Germany and get the bike out. Despite continuing issues with a low speed misfire I took the Gpz to the Black Forest on Friday for a blast and what a day it was 25 degrees blue skies empty roads and stunning scenery.

A superb ride 280km and the bike didn't miss too many beats.

If that wasn't enough on Saturday I went to see Classic Superbike racing at
Hockenheim. Apologies for the occasional non Kawasaki but there were just too many nice bikes there. My pocket camera is not up to action shots but never mind.

Second place went to this Gsxr powered 1000R

And the winner was yes you guessed it an XS 1100 !!!
Well actually it was a tuned FJ 1200 in XS clothes but very nice all the same and so fast it nearly lapped everyone !!

Anyway not a bad biking weekend

One should know, that CSBK in Germany is a bit like the retirement home for ex-Superbike and even some ex-125 and 250 motorcycle world championship racers... Those guys are fast, bl**dy fast to be honest.
