more Drag Racing Irish style

as a Scrtineer I attended this event outside Kells Co. Meath Yesterday
it was a bit wet but a standard BMW1000RR posted 10.02 seconds in the wet
fastest production there yesterday

yes Iain We are very lucky there is a more liberal attitude here
lots of Road Racing and from what I hear We are going to have lots of these events next Year

Great pics Paul,
I agree with your statement about a more liberal attitued to events like this one over in Ireland. I have visited the Skerries road racing a couple of times in the past and thought that the attitude to 'spectator participation' was spot on. Where else would they let you stand so close to the racing that you get dust and gravel spat at you when the pack goes by? Brilliant event and a 'must visit' for all, although I have heard rumours that the dreaded H&S brigade had tried to mess with this years event. Please tell me it's not true.

We did have a visit from Health and Safety that is true but they just observed Us Scrutineering not that they would know one end of a bike from the other
they were present for about an hour and then cleared off but thankfully We had no major incidents at any of the Race meetings this Year
lets hope next Year is the same
