Yes I have a choke valve fitted, a couple of squirts of the throttle, choke on and it fires up and ticks over perfectly when cold. After a brief idle on choke (about 2 mins) shut the choke off and it idles spot on.
As with all draw through set-ups, it takes about 5 to 7 miles to warm up fully.
I've stuck with the bigger fuel inlet valve because of the 8mm ID bore fittings I have, but thinking about it, yes with the smaller fuel valve the pumped fuel pressure could be run higher.
If I ever was to fit the smaller fuel valve and an electric pump, I would trigger the pump activation with the same adjustable plenum pressure switch I have fitted for the retard function on the Dyna 2000. It makes sense that way.... i.e. only need pumped fuel under big boost conditions.
For the time being though, the Saxon no longer has fuel starvation issues with the big bore fuel set-up.
My mate with the TC intends to just use his TC gently (until he gets hooked with the delivery!).
