Thanks for your comments guys, the end product has been worth the grief, I am amazed at how sweet it rides, really clean on the throttle, rear shocks had to be backed off quite a bit as they were very firm, it steers lovely, nothing has fallen off it or come loose ....yet

Still little bits to tinker at, very minor, fitted the four plastic caps to the hex head bolts that hold the handlebars, small item but made a big difference.

The fork top nuts still need replaced or re chromed, stares me in the face when I'm on it.

Just need a spell of decent weather, been crap in Cumbria since last weekend.

Sold my 944 yesterday after owning it for nearly 3 years and polishing it more
than driving it, bit more room in the garage now, however one of the bikes may still have to go, got to get down to one toy.
