If you do go to devils bridge dont park the car by the butty/ice cream van on a sat or sunday or bank hol. its bike parking only, cars get a parking fine. most car drivers turn up on a sat and dont read the signs.

Hawdraw has a fantastic pub called The Green Dragon, It's like walking back in time. They also do camping and have live music. Hawdraw Force just behind it. It's just north of Hawes which is a biking mecca.
Just a short ride north are The Buttertubs. Or depending how far you want to go, High Force in Teesdale is one of the biggest waterfalls in England. If you get there about 6pm or later you've got the place to yourselves. The coach parties have all gone, the gateman's gone home, so just walk through.

Enjoy

I'm going camping at Green Dragon over May Day bank holiday with a local bike club . Plenty to see in both the Yorkshire Dales & Yorkshire Moors. I like Levisham station for the Moors Steam Railway just outside Pickering. Well worth a visit and there's also The Horseshoe Inn there which is a really nice pub and good for a meal :D

When all this wind power BOLLOCKS started, they were supposed to be HIDDEN and strategically sited.

NOT ANY MORE.

The entire UK is now a mess with these complete waste of time gimmicks.

Offshore is going the same way.

In about 10 years time it will be near impossible to navigate a small boat around the UK.

WHY ???????????????????????????????

If they are so GOOD, why do we not have ZERO electric bills?

When the TRUE cost of this shambles is released to the public, we will all say "why did we pursue this for so long" ??
